Dance Company : Mirela Roza

Mirela Roza began her study of ballet at the age of four in Fortaleza, Brazil with Monica. Mirela performed professionally with the Municipal Theatre Ballet in Rio de Janeiro. After performing as a professional ballerina after 4 seasons with Municipal Theatre she ran away with the circus, Ringling Bros & Barnum and Bailey.  She performed as a dancer and gave regular dance class to the performers of the circus from 2002-2006.  She met and married an American musician in the Circus and now resides in Tucson with her husband, and their three year old son.  She is currently teaching a creative movement class for adults with special needs at the University of Arizona, performs with ZUZI! and is a substitute teacher at Academy of Ballet and Tucson Regional Ballet.
