About the Event

This 90-minute class will include a cardiovascular dance warm up, conditioning and strength training exercises, and finish off with a cool down and deep stretch to send you into the rest of your week feeling strong.  We will focus on muscle groups that are important for dancers, however this class is appropriate for non-dancers, seniors, and anyone who wants to get a great workout in a low-stress at-home environment.  Modifications for beginner and advanced options will be given, as well as cues for safe posture, alignment, and stability while exercising from home on Zoom. Necessary equipment:

  • A mat
  • A towel
  • Water
  • Something to use as a barre for stability- chair, counter, etc.
  • Room to move in your space in all directions

Please set up your Zoom camera angle so that the Instructor can see your full body while you are working.
